Description: Zuni Turquoise Thunderbird Fetish Necklace 30in Native American Animals Birds. This authentic vintage Native American fetish necklace has a turquoise thunderbird in the center and other spirit animals like a bear, whale, alligator, bird, frog and more. The fetish charms have wonderful detail and were meticulously hand carved from natural stones, such as onyx, jasper, mother of pearl, shell and more. There are 8 fetish charms on each side of the thunderbird, for a total of 17 fetishes, including the thunderbird. The cones at the clasps are made of sterling silver. The necklace measures 30" long. The thunderbird center piece measures approximately 1" long by 1" wide. Most of the charms measure .75" to 1" long. This superb Native American fetish necklace is in very good vintage condition, as shown in the photos. The brown fetish animal has a tiny chip in the tail area, which is not noticeable unless you look for it, but please see for yourself in the last two photos.
