PUTNAM GLASS WORKS ZANESVILLE,O. boldly emb on bottom....Hand blown in mold, bimal.....crude applied wax seal groove.....aqua....half gallon....9"tall...Excellent shiny nice condition with only one small shallow chip on top edge of outer ring; no other damage. A nice clean jar. According to Dick Roller this jar was made in Zanesville,Ohio between 1872 - 1877. The town of Putnam was annexed to Zanesville in 1872 and the Putnam Glass Works operated until its failure in 1878.
