Description: Selling my rare 1973 Yes UK tour programme. The UK tour preceded the album's (Tales from Topographic Oceans) release, and hot on the tail of Close to the Edge the fans were eager to hear the latest magnum opus. Little did they know that the new double album contained only four tracks (some of it very challenging), and Yes were going debut all of the new material during this tour.As you can see in the programme the first part of the show was Close to the Edge performed in its entirety, followed by 80+ minutes of completely new music, unheard by any of the ticket buying public... I believe they ended the shows with Roundabout.I bought this programme sometime in the early 80's at a record fair in the UK. It was in the condition documented in the photographs back then, but I'd never seen one before so I had to have it. It is a very cool artifact from November of 1973, that makes it almost 51 years old. So all things considered, it's lucky to be in one piece. It has been stored flat in a dark closet for many years now, and there has been no new wear inflicted on it.The programme is complete, there are no missing pages, and the staples are still holding firm. The front and rear covers suffer from some creasing, and the edges suffer from rubbing. There is also some discolorations on the cover - I assume from handling over the five decades. The inner pages are starting to yellow with age but are in better condition than the covers, with all the text and pictures nice and vibrant. I've tried to document the condition accurately in the photographs. This would be a fine addition to any Yes fan's collection, and a great companion piece to the US 1974 tour programme. I will package it safely for shipping to its new owner.
