Description: P-550….direct drive and fully automatic operation. On board is a used Audio Technica DR300E cartridge with the original stylus. This combination sounds pretty damn nice…. I tracked this at 1.5 grams. The machine base has been wrapped on 3 sides with woodgrain vinyl veneer. I completely disassembled this machine and did a meticulous deep cleaning...cleaned the pot and switches...lubricated the spindle.. added fresh dampening oil…..I retrofit some Pioneer hinges that work well. I sound/functions tested this and it works as it should. Condition is good throughout…...there are a few spots in the veneer that aren’t perfect … some scratches on the base top panel…the platter is bright with some oxidation spotting….. the mat is soft and pliable ….and the cover is just ok…somewhat yellowed…considerable swirl marks and scratches— a couple of areas with deeper defects above the tonearm base. The good news is that the cover functions as intended. . If you’re looking a good quality, fully automatic direct drive turntable…without spending a ton of $$$…take a look here. It’s a lot of bang for your buck!! I will ship, at the buyers expense, utilizing FedEx to any of the contiguous 48 states. I pack with great care and fully insure for shipping. I use double walled heavy duty boxes reinforced with foam board in the corners. Believe me when I say I Don’t want transit damage more than you don’t. Due to the age of this device and the uncertain nature of vintage electronics this device is being sold AS IS with no returns. This is NOT a new machine...as such, it does not come with any guarantee implied or written. This machine will come partially disassembled. You will need to mount the platter—and the drive belt in belt drive machines—the counterweight..and in some cases the anti-skate weight. DO NOT operate the machine without first properly balancing and setting the appropriate tracking weight.
