Description: XAVIER BARILE 1945 Portrait College Girl Oil Painting on Board Pueblo WPA 14x18 Xavier J. Barile painted this 1945 portrait, an oil on artist's board titled "College Girl," while teaching in Pueblo, CO, one year before he returned to NYC. The subject is a young blonde woman wearing a white blouse. It looks to have been done in oil, both with brushes and palette knife--there's some really great texture. The painting itself measures approximately 14 x 17.75 inches, and the period wood frame measures 18 x 22. CONDITION: Overall good vintage condition. The painting is slightly loose in the frame as you can see in the first photo. There appears to be some faint pencil or pen markings at the top of the painting, above her head, as you can see in photo 6. The frame shows some wear but is also in overall good condition Please see photos as they are part of the description. SHIPPING: This will be packaged and shipped with exquisite care.
