Description: You are bidding on a Lot of X-Men comics numbers 114, 115, & 116 published July, August and September of 2001 by Marvel. These pictures are actual scans of the comics. I have the ACTUAL comics IN HAND! Written by Grant Morrison. Cover and Art by Frank Quitely and Tim Townsend. These are the ORIGINAL issues from 2001, not the re-issues of the re-branded New X-Men in 2010. Recently this story was re-imagined in the new X-Men ’97! Read the story that started it all! 114 - Humankind's time on Earth is nearly at its end. Within a half-decade, they will be extinct, replaced by their genetically gifted cousins: mutants! With this discovery, the very fabric of society begins to fray. And as fear and paranoia grows by the day, it will soon tear! Charles Xavier has been forced to evolve his X-Men. But in the shadows, something beckons to him. A mutant more powerful - and more depraved - than he ever could have foreseen. Cassandra Nova is building an army of newer, deadlier Sentinels. Meanwhile, Hank unveils a more powerful Cerebra, but testing it allows Cassandra Nova to invade Charles's mind. 115 - "E is for Extinction" rocks on with Sentinels in the skies! With racial paranoia at an all-time high, the villain known only as Cassandra unleashes a legion of transfigured Sentinels on the world's mutant population! Their first target? The island nation of Genosha! Caught in the maelstrom are Cyclops and Wolverine and one of them will have to make a terrible choice! Cyclops and Wolverine confront Cassandra Nova, but too late to stop her from releasing her Sentinels to destroy Genosha. 116 - The conclusion to "E is for Extinction!" If one immensely powerful foe wasn't enough, the X-Men must also fight a supremely powerful and all-out evil new villain! It will be a battle that will cost one member of our uncanny team immensely! Jean and Hank rescue Emma from the ruins of Genosha, but sixteen million mutants were killed in the destruction. Charles makes a decision and goes on television to reveal that he is a mutant.
