Description: ITEM: Original World War II US Navy Coastguard soldier's trunk with hand painted addresses (Kodiak, Alaska) and (3) Alaska decal travel stickers. From the estate of WW2 veteran C R Harner who was in the Coast Guard and under the direction/service of the United States Navy during WW2. He was stationed at Mare Island before being transferred to Kodiak Naval Air Station in Kodiak, Alaska shortly after the War began and was part of the Aluetian Island campaign during the war. SIZE: Approximately 32" x 17" x 13. Weighs 25 lbs before packagingCONDITION: Normal wear from use/travel. Original painted finish to the wood and hardware. No soft spots, holes, breaks or odors. Hinged lid and latches work, leather handles are intact. Tray is intact with wear to the original paper covering, as pictured. Solid and usable. Any color variations in my pictures are from lighting.
