Description: WWII Era US Army M1916 Leather Belt Holster for Colt M1911 45acp Pistol - Marked: Graton & Knight Co.1943 - Modified for Revolver - NICE Condition Up for sale is WWII Era US Army M1916 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 45acp Pistol. This holster is used, see Photo's for Condition. The leather is soft and supple. Some wrinkling of the leather on the flap. It has a faint US in Oval logo on the flap. There are a series of pin holes from some pin that was attached to the flap, see photo. All of the stitching is intact and not fraying. The internal leather block is no longer present. The end of the holster has been opened. These are the modifications that were made to accommodate a revolver. The holster manufacturer marking is on the rear, it is marked: Graton & Knight Co. 1943. The leather has darkened with age and usage, but still retains that rich dark brown color. This is a NICE Example of a WWII M1916 Holster to add to your collection.
