Description: WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. Ricasso is marked "4397" over "g" on one side, the reverse is "Clemen & Jung", and the spine has a "38" for 1938. The wood grips have light scratches and a couple small nicks. The blade has 95% of the finish, unsharpened, no nicks on the blade edge but the spine is nicked up, it is tight, and there is a slight bend 1/16" up on the tip. The pommel has a double Waffenampt mark "WaA253" and has a little surface rust. Lock button is functional and Waffenampt marked. The scabbard has "4397" over "g" on the frontside and on the backside is "Clemen & Jung" over "1938". The scabbard is solid with a couple small dents/dings, has some light surface rust freckles mainly scattered throughout the backside,the ball finial is Waffenampt marked, and it is a little tight on/off. The leather frog shows light wear, faint "RBN" mark on the backside, the stitching is tight, the restraining strap with the latch hole is torn, and there is some light crazing. Length of the blade measures 9 15/16" (15/16" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 15 3/16", and in the scabbard it is 15 15/16". The frog alone is 9 1/4".
