Description: WWI Era AEF US Army M1916 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 .45acp Pistol - Marked: S&K over J.P.C. Inspector Initials - Nice Condition - RARE Up for sale is WWI AEF US Army M1916 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt M1911 45acp Pistol. This is a vintage old military belt holster. It is used, see photo's for Condition. The leather is still soft & supple. All the stitching is intact and not fraying. Some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather on the flap. It still has the internal leather block. The leather has darkened somewhat with age, but still retains that rich dark brown color. It is marked US in an oval logo on the flap and it is marked: S&R with J.P.C. inspector initials on the rear. The manufacturer's markings are clear & legible. The metal wire belt hook on the rear is no longer present. Hard to find these early holsters in this condition. This is a NICE example of a WWI holster.
