Description: This is a great Scrapbook that is chock full of information about WWII and the fighting in Japan in the Pacific. There are fascinating newspaper clippings about Pearl Harbor and the wounded soldiers, Hawaii articles about soldiers stationed there, meetings between President Roosevelt and other commanders concerning the US strategy in the Pacific, and so much more. There are a number of wonderful greeting cards all handwritten and there are also two theater tickets from the Waikiki theater dated Sunday, August 20, 1944. In one instance, there is a handwritten letter that was sent on March 8, 1945 where they write about “papa” ailing. There are also newspaper articles about the sinking of several ships and submarines. It includes original clippings about military and civil officials in action during that period. It includes pictures about the USS Saratoga, and the battle. There are too many articles here to include in this description, but all of it is just fascinating. The front and back covers are very interesting, as they describe all the action taking place in the Pacific during WWII. Don’t miss the opportunity to own a piece of American history. Measures 15X12 inches. In overall good condition.
