Description: WW2 Photo Album Featuring USNR Aviation Officer, US Information Agency, Intelligence Photographer. I found this album among a massive stack of military paper from the WW2 and Korean War eras. The subject of most of the photos appears to be a USNR Officer by the name of LT (and later LCR) Thomas Ley Alexander. He was attached to the US Information Agency...and as some of the photos attest to, he was an aerial combat photographer involved in planning and intelligence. I'm not sure if the album was his or it was kept by a family member (his brother John Franklin Alexander was also in the Navy during WW2 and I believe there are photos of him toward the end of the album, as shown in listing pics #20 & 22). There are also some newspaper clippings (Thomas Alexander went on to become a public school superintendent). I photographed all the pages in the album. The album itself shows age appropriate wear, but is certainly a very presentable piece. As you can see, the first part of the album focuses on family and the latter part focuses on Alexander's military activities. My favorite photo is the "Trick Camera Shot" featured in the opening listing picture and in picture #18. A really interesting WW2 period album!Offered from a smoking-free home. Please examine the pics for content/condition specifics, and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.
