Description: Vintage WW2 Italy & German Italian Volunteer Army Foreign Legion Jacket Patch 5 1/2" Came out of a large collection of WW2 Leather U.S Army Air Force Bomb Group Squadron Patches It is hand painted and seen in photos and has the German Style Nazi Eagle holding some kind of ax that you will see in the Italian Volunteer Group. Has Italian REVOCANTI VINCERE or what I believe I TO CONQUER or defeat or win for their slogan At first I thought by looking it was made out of some kind of hide, but it is stiffer than leather, so looks like some kind of soft thick cardboard, but not paper. It is hand painted and has small holes around the edges that indicates it was sewn on to material of a jacket at one time This is one that you will have to do some research . I have had it for over 40 years and was always interested in flight patches since my father was a pilot and flew B-24's with the 466th Bomb Group out of Attlebridge England during WWII from 1944 to capture and held in Stalag Luft One as a prisoner to the end of the war.
