Description: During WW2, there were many manufacturers contracted to make batteries for the army. I am offering two reproductions of these battery boxes (Box only). You will receive one of each box for $45. For the U.S. Army Signal Corps Burgess BA-2 battery box, I used a vintage Burgess 22.5 volt battery box as a model. This one is handmade. For the Army/Navy battery box I replicated photos I found. The BA-2 was used during World War Two to power TG-5 A and B Telegraphs, as well as other devices. Inside each battery box there are three pre-wired 9-volt battery connectors (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED) which provide 27 volts of power. Just open the bottom of the box, plug in your three 9-volt batteries and connect the provided positive (+) and negative (-) wires to the posts of your TG-5. The positive and negative wires are about 12 inches long so the battery box can be displayed outside of the TG-5 battery slot or the wires can be pushed in the box and tucked away. This way you can place the box in the designated slot, neatly revealing only the top. The boxes are waxed with beeswax to make them water proof, just like back then. Dimensions are 3.5 inches long, 2 inches wide and just over 2.5 inches high. These will fit in the battery slot of your TG-5-A or TG-5-B (left side slot). Be sure to use a jump wire on your device or it won’t work. Cost is $45 with FREE SHIPPING.
