Description: This pottery lot features the works of WW1 veteran and artist Tabor Utley. Utley was 1st Lt of Company D 1st Louisiana Infantry (which became Company D 156th Infantry 39th Division) and trained my great grandfather who was in the same company in 1917 and 1918. He became a semi successful artist in Colorado. 8 pieces of his pottery total. 1st photo is an actual photo of Lt. Utley at Camp Nicholls New Orleans in the summer of 1917. Photo was identified by me in the possession of the archive of New Orleans. My great grandfather is in the same photo just a few feet away.
