Description: IMPERIAL German antique print SMS Gazelle The Gazelle was both a class and the name of the flagship; the class was the culmination of earlier unprotected cruiser and aviso designs, combining the best aspects of both types in what became the progenitor of all future light cruisers of the Imperial fleet. Launched in late 1890s it served in WW1 and was damaged by a mine. Original WW1 period German Imperial print on a thin dark carboard back with gold stamped lettering This item was framed, and is suitable for framing. Print shows light rippling where it was glued. Dark cardboard back has discoloration and light damage, the corner is bent and stained. Gold lettering in good condition. Print has few small stains near top left.
