Description: Original WW1 AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN military map of ROMANIA entitled "SULINA". Covers an area of Romania's border with the Russian Empire on the Black Sea. (This Russian controlled area is now part of modern day UKRAINE.) Produced in 1916 by the Austro-Hungarian "K.u.k. Militargeographisches Institut", and seemingly captured during the War before being transferred to the British War Office's 'Geographical Section General Staff' Map Room in July 1919. Bears subsequent official archive stamps from the War Office and the Directorate of Military Survey, but the map was eventually superseded and donated to Edinburgh University, who recently sold it off as part of a much wider collection. The sheet is in great condition and has never been folded. Will be shipped rolled in a stout cardboard tube. Please see my other WW1 (and WW2) maps, documents, photos etc. Seller's Ref - U1155
