Description: TALK ABOUT A RARE COLLECTIBLE: You are looking at a 16" strand of Mikimoto Pearls with what I believe is a white gold clasp.. However since the markings are not clear to me I'm going with sterling silver. Under normal circumstances this would just be another strand of wonderful Mikimoto pearls. BUT, in the box is the original receipt from the Mikimoto store in Japan in 1954. The receipt is in good shape. The pearls are perfect. I had an offer 6 years ago of $2,500.00 from a local jeweler, which I knew was low so I have kept them. My wife mentioned she never wore pearls anymore so I decided to sell.
