Description: Pretty fantastic original copy of a scarce volume published in 1893 as a guide of highlights from the art exhibitions at the World's Fair in Chicago in 1893. The cover is separate, and the binding is coming apart but it's mostly intact and a useable copy for research. I found a few copies online for $30-40, and two over $100 (with hardcover binding and in better shape). There are works by Louis Comfort Tiffany, William M. Chase, Childe Hassam, Josef Israels (Holland), Charles Sprague Pearce, and Anders Zorn. These are the few names I recognized (this isn't really my field, I'm sorry I can't pick out all of the great artists represented). The index in the back lists the artists alphabetically and the titles of their paintings illustrated (several have more than one), and in many cases, some biographical information such as where they're from, who or where they studied, and even the artist's address.
