Description: At the BIN price ($700), I am offering you a working raw Tek TG501 Time Mark Generator calibration plugin (fits in TM5__series power frames) for 20% of its $3500 new price in 1999. Introduced in 1978 (as a successor to 184 & 2901), got a new look in about 1986, in about 2000 Tek sold the line to Tegam (in OH, US) which continued it until about 2010. If you make offer less than BIN, I will substitute an earlier TG501 that may have issues/need repair. The only way I will send you the TG501 at a lesser offer is if you are in a foreign country trying to reduce your import tax (based on ebay sell price) but are willing to make up the difference to me in a separate payment. If that is your objective, please make it clear in your offer terms. If you need a TM5__ series power frame, there are many offered on ebay. It is working correctly, but if you'd like me to pass it thru a qualified cal lab, that will cost extra, and add a few days delay. TG501 generates accurate tickmarks from 1 every 5S to every 1nS in fixed 1-2-5 sequence for checking the horizontal sweep accuracy of scopes. In the realm of 50MHz to 1GHz the impulse shape gradually gives way to sine. The amplitude (into 50 ohms) just over 1Vpp, except at 1GHz where it's only .2Vpp. I don't have any 1Ghz scope, so I can't verify output at that high. Also, at frequencies of 100MHz and below, fixed frequencies can be varied digitally up to +/- 8% for more convenient tolerance checks. There is an option (1) available which raises the quartz crystal accuracy by about tenfold from about 10ppm to about 1ppm. If you'd like the option, please offer $200 more than BIN (if ebay stops you from doing so, I will still sell you want you want by post-sale adjustment). The 2467B scope seen in the photos are not part of this sale, but just used to show TG501 works. If you are outside USA, shipping by public Airmail is not available since it does not satisfy Ebay tracking and delivery confirmation requirements.
