Thick and plush wool pile. The wool material is excellent for stain resistance and a lifetime of enjoyment. Patterns may vary according to shape and dimension. Please note that the rug was not laid perfectly flat when these pictures were taken. The warped lines are not a defect, but only a result of the fold lines. About French Savonnerie rugsThe Savonnerie workshops were set up in Paris by Pierre DuPont in 1628 with supervision of Henry IV. Savonnerie rugs were mainly woven for palaces by special orders. These designs were produced under the direction of artists of the royal courts.
