Description: Woodland Encounter by Bev Doolittle Signed and #'d 807/1500 with Original Certificate of Authenticity in Excellent Condition This beautiful, limited edition print of Woodland Encounter by Bev Doolittle is signed and numbered 807/1500 from 1981. It comes with the Certificate of Authenticity that was issued by the publisher Greenwich Workshop, Inc. The print image is approximately 33" x 16.5" and was previously professionally framed in museum quality, fillet and triple matted in acid free matting. There is a thin strip of conservation hinge tape at the top corners of the border (see pictures 8 and 9 for details). I acquired the print in 1995 and it has been in storage away from damaging light conserving the vivid colors and tones. In 2016, the frame was removed for appraisal purposes only and again carefully stored and maintained. It is very difficult to find this rare, highly sought-after limited edition print in this condition. Additional information about the background of the print from the artist - "This is a deliberate study in camouflage by misdirection which grew out of my effort to break all the normal 'rules' of composition... The bright-colored fox, dead center, distracts the eye from whatever is going on in the busy snowscape surrounding him. And the richness of design - a wonderful, natural part of the trees themselves - also gave me the opportunity to play games with the traditionally accepted uses of space that govern a well conceived piece of art."
