Description: This tintype is laterally reversed, meaning the photographer didn’t use a correcting prism. However, it is easy to read the masthead on each paper: "WAR CRY." The women are dressed alike with molded bonnets and long pleated dresses. There’s a real plant between them and a painted scene behind. SIZE. Approximately 3 7/16 x 2 5/16 inches. CONDITION. Spots in the space between them. Rust at top edge, bottom edge, and bottom of right side edge. Light bends. APPEARANCE. Very good contrast. Nice posing and composition. Great content.
