Description: Wolverine Dutch Tin Litho Child's Toy Step Up Garbage Can with Liner 1940s They even made kitchen step up garbage cans for kids just like Mom's. This one has a Dutch design. It was made by Wolverine and goes with the other Dutch design items they made. This one has a heavy wire pedal that you step on and the lid pops up. Inside is the original liner that could be pulled out to empty in the garbage can in the garage. This liner is usually gone. The piece is made from lithographed tin in shades of blue and white. On the side it states "Mfg. By Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Co. - Pittsburgh, PA., U.S.A.". This was in the diamond mark. This step up can is approximately 7-1/2" tall with a 6" diameter at the lid. It is 6-1/2" deep with a 5-5/8" diameter at the base. This toy garbage can is from the 1940s.
