Description: 1870 Autographed Wisconsin State Senate Chamber Diagram Lt. Gov Pound & Hills WI This is an original autographed 1870 Diagram of the Wisconsin State Senate Chambers! It is signed on the upper left by then Lt. Govenor Thaddeus Coleman Pound. He was the 10th Lt. Governor of Wisconsin and the grandfather of poet Ezra Pound! The village of Pound, Wisconsin is named in his honor. In 1870 the Governor was Lucius Fairchild. It is also signed on the upper right by then Cheif Clerk Leander B. Hills. Not often that we can say with certainty that something is rare, but in this case fits the criteria! There are some condition issueson this item, such as a large stain on the far left ans some holes, but the fact that it is still in existance makes this piece of Wisconsin history even more amazing. This was from the collection of a former Wisconsin State Senator. It is in a frame, but the glass is broken along the lower left. I think it is best to leave it in the frame for the new owner as it looks a bit delicate to ship otherwise. I can secure the broken glass with some tape and ship accordingly. Local pickup in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is also fine. Frame shows some additional wear as well. Frame is about 18.5 x 12 inches and the diagram is about 16.5 x 10 inches. It is maked in lower bottom as having been printed in Milwaukee by Lith. Seifert & Lawson. I trust this will find a new home with an avid collector of Wisconsin history! Enjoy!
