Description: WIRCO cookware (Wrought Iron Range Co), made and sold cookware primarily as an accessory to its main product, cook stoves. Period of Production of this piece was 1881-1890. Location: St. Louis, Missouri. This company casts were from more malleable iron which is why most WIRCO cookware is lightweight and prone to warping. This handled griddle does spin and is lightweight. Light pitting on cooking surface but does not affect cooking. Underside has sulfer pitting. Heat ring is 8-1/8" in diameter and gate mark is faintly made out amoungst the pitting. No chips, cracks or repairs. Company logo is crisp on the handle. Beautiful piece of history.
