This framed photo is from a 1963 SPORT magazine article AUTOGRAPHED by Wilt Chamberlain when he was a member of the San Fransisco Warriors. In the background is Elgin Baylor of the Los Angeles Lakers. On back of magazine photo (pictured above) is the continuation of the article titled “The Fight To Remodel Wilt Chamberlain.” This magazine photo has been personally autographed by Chamberlain in bold blue ink. This page is in its original condition, with some light wear. Chamberlain played for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors from 1959-1965. He returned to Philly as part of the new Philadelphia 76ers franchise, where he played from 1965-1968. He also played for the Los Angeles Lakers (1968-1973). He is one of basketball's all-time greats. He led the league in scoring in seven seasons. He is the only NBA player to score 100 points in a game. A 13-time All-Star he has had his number 13 jersey retired by the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and LA Lakers, as well as by his college alma mater, the University of Kansas. Chamberlain was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978. He passed away in 1999 at the age of 63.
