Both volumes slightly splayed; spines a tad rough and tree calf shows sporadic fine crazing; contemporary ownership signature on inner flyleaf of each volume. Hinges tight and unrestored. First two volumes (out of four) of the eleventh edition, tight and attractive, of this popular survey, first published in London in 1777 and not published in the U.S. until 1798.
