White Sony PS2 Slim (+1 Controller, 2 Mics, 2 Memory Cards, Cables) Read Desc.

Description: Please note, this system can’t read disks. However, only barely… see, when I got this system (a few days ago) it could read disks, but very slowly, cuz it was dirty and dusty. I opened up the system and cleaned it out, even using peroxide on the really bad stuff, and put it all back together. When I put it all back together and put a disk in… it couldn’t read it. Its behavior is a little spontaneous, sometimes the disk spins and then gives up, sometimes it doesn’t spin at all and is trying to read it for like 5 minutes before stopping… it almost seems random. What’s especially weird is that it was working but slowly when dirty, but wasn’t reading at all when I cleaned it. Weird. At an educated guess, it needed a replaced right laser/motor combo. It boots and all that, but the disk stuff is kind of fishy. I replaced the lithium timekeeping battery, so you don’t need to worry about that if you care about that. Everything else the system comes works, I’m pretty sure. Not sure about the mics as I wasn’t able to test those, but the controller works just fine. The rubber on the sticks is gone by now. The memory cards are fine as well. Same case for all the cables.
