Description: This is a vintage hardcover book titled "Where Do We Go From Here" edited by Isaac Asimov in 1971. The collection was deliberately created to show that science fiction, in Asimov's words, "has the potential as an inspiring and useful teaching device." His stated goal in the introduction is to "inspire curiosity and lead the student into lines of questioning of his own that may interest and excite him, and may even ...educate. This is a collection of 17 science fiction short stories and after each story, Asimov writes a brief page or two analysis of each of the stories giving a little background on each and also looking at the scientific aspects of the story. Without question, the best story is the first- "A Martian Odyssey" by Stanley Weinbaum from 1934 which is an all time science fiction classic and is great. Each story is written by a different author and included are stories from Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke. No matter one's taste in sci-fi, there's bound to be some stories and authors that will entertain. The book comes with a dust jacket and is not personalized or inscribed. It is a great addition to any science fiction enthusiast's collection. Very good, low wear book club hardcover with a fair jacket, clean and pages unmarked. 437 pages and about 1.5 by 5.8 by 8.5 inches. DOUBLEDAY
