Requires drilling and tapping two 6-40 holes through the top strap. Extra large recoil lug prevents scope movement even on magnum caliber's. Accepts all Weaver and Picatinny style rings and accessories. NEW DESIGN NOTES: (8/28/2017) to address the TAURUS revolver top strap variations. We are using two 8-32 Brass socket set screws (supplied) as the front supports of the mount. After drilling and tapping your revolver you install the mount as usual and adjust the two set screws to touch the top strap then tighten the attaching screws. This allows for most top strap variations. For flat top style receivers you must mill off radiused section on the scope mount bottom for it to work. We have also just encountered a new flatter radius on a 2017 production revolver and our mount will also need to be modified to fit that top strap. If you encounter issues mounting this scope mount please send us a photo of the issue so we can further assist you with how to proceed. We are sorry but there are so many variations of the Taurus top strap we are having a hard time addressing them all. 4-1/2" in length, 6061 T-6 Hardened Aluminum, available in black or silver matte anodized finish, weight 1.3 ounces.
