Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful staff who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here a WEDGWOOD University of Maine FIRST EDITION PLATE – 1940 Coburn Hall 1888 – Blue 10.5”. What a wonderful collectable this plate is – see the pics so you know exactly what it looks like but I can tell you it is in GREAT CONDITION (I think it has just been displayed in a china closet for the past 70+ years!!). On the back it says, “UNIVERSITY of MAINE – First Edition Plate – 1940 – Coburn Hall 1888” and “Wedgwood Etruria England”.
