Description: Here's a really fine WATERMAN LADY GARLAND TAPERITE pen and pencil set from about 1949. This pretty set is in black and has engraved gold filled caps and gold filled trim and so marked at the base of the caps Design is kind of a wavy large repeating chevron pattern around the base of the caps. Both are about 4-5/8" long and both are in beautiful external condition with no loss of finish. There is a single small dent at the top of the cap (last photo), but no other noted flaws. They are marked WATERMAN'S on the the 40's style clips and on the pen the barrel imprint is WATERMAN'S, MADE IN USA in two lines. The pen is a lever filler and will need a new sac before it will take up ink. Nib is a 14kt Taperite, quite firm and probably a medium.... all in excellent condition. The pencil has a full eraser, uses .036" lead and works... however torque tube tends to pull out with the cap when removed always needs to be reseated.
