Description: Antique WATER MILL PRINT, c1900s. Framed Under Glass. Signed By JAN (Unlisted artist). Description: WATER MILL with Wheel at night, (given the shading in the tree canopy...) A typical scene in America and Europe at the turn of the century as water powdered the mill to grind the grain for the community's baking and brewing needs. Stone building with small windows. Wood decking and wheel. Tree trunk supports. Things look a bit mossy near the stream and under the tree. A shady area. A few men or a village group doing the building. Gathering the stones and wood by hand/horse-cart, building a building to ensure the villager's survival. Independence from buying from others. A lovely little print. A time we know occurred but hardly ever remember. Please see the attached pictures and item specifications. Dimensions: Portrait Orientation - Frame: 15.5" Tall x 5.5" Wide x 1/2" Deep. Print: 13 5/8" Tall x 3.75" Wide. Old relatively cheap frame but it goes somehow..
