The books are bound in blue leather, with gold inlay on the fronts, backs, and spine, and each having a red leather paste-on title panel on the spine. There is also gold inlay on and along the edges. There are marbled endpapers (also on page edges). North Wales has fifty-one engravings by Radclyffe from drawings by Cattermole, Cox, Creswick, etc. The corners are bumped, with one worn, and there is some wear along the hinges. There is some chipping at the top and base of the spine. The trench is split before the third endpaper, although the hinge is still strong. The pages are mildly age toned in places. The ribbon page marker is cut near the spine. A small ownership plate appears on the second blank page. Overall, the book remains solid, and is Very Good for its age. South Wales has forty-eight engravings by Radclyffe from drawings by Cox, Harding, Fielding, Creswick, Watson, etc. The corners are bumped, with one being worn. There is some wear along the hinges. Small splits appear near the top of the spine, with some chips at the base. The pages are mildly age toned in places, with a small ownership plate appearing on the first blank page.
