Description: Londoniana by Edward Walford. In Two Volumes. Published by Hurst and Blackett, London, 1879. Very good plus, first edition books, no dust jackets. Dark olive-tan cloth covered boards. Black stamped lettering, decorative edging and center graphic on front panel; similar edging but blind-stamped on back panel. Spine has gilt lettering with both black and gilt edging at head and tail of spine. Board panels are lightly soiled overall, several small light stains along upper edge of front panel on Vol. I. Edges at head and tail of board spines are crimped, with crease tips lightly rubbed. Fore-edge corners are minimally rubbed on Vol. I; the lower front fore-edge corner of Vol II is scraped and with a 3/8" closed tear, small rub through on the other three fore-edge tips of Vol II. The upper right corner of the FFEP on Vol. II has a 5/8" by 1 1/8" triangular loss. Page 193 of Vol II has a lower corner fold to accommodate a slightly wider margin. Several quires in both volumes are unopened. Slight age-toning to text pages, else internally clean. No foxing. Text blocks are snug. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions. Additional photos are available at your request.
