Description: Here is the The Manor figurine 24 from the 1981 Set 3 of the Wade Whimsey-On-Why collection series. Note two small glaze losses on roof. Photos are of the figurine you will receive. Whimsey-On-Why is the name Wade gave to the mythical English village made up of a series of miniature houses and buildings. In 1980, Wade began producing and issuing numbered sets of these figurines. Sets 1 through 4 had 8 figurines each and set 5 had 4 figurines. The walls and roofs of these figurines were thicker and sturdier than the “typical Wade” animal figurines and in general, weigh more. An interesting feature is that the number of the building / structure in the series appears as part of the artwork / decal on the figurine. The 1981 Set 3 series figurines included Tinker's Nook, Whimsey Station, Merryweather Farm, The Vicarage, Broomyshaw Cottage, The Sweet Shop, Briar Row and The Manor. As with all Wades, there is a chance for a manufacturing flaw. Be sure to review photos prior to committing to a purchase. Seller can provide additional photos on request.
