Description: This is a vintage Japanese clay and cloth doll/figurine, likely from the 1950s, made to appear like a temple pilgrim. This figure has a sign next to it that reads Kotohira on the front and Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage on the side. The figure itself appears to be in mostly great condition, with damage to the hand holding the staff and the backpack on the rear has staining that may or may not have been intentional. The cloth wrapped around the figure has writing on it as well, but it's difficult to make out. This traditional Japanese doll stands at about 5.5" tall! Comes as-is, as pictured!
