Description: Well built Japanese made early 1980's single direction cassette deck from Technics with soft touch assist for the tape transport. It also features a 5 position tape EQ switch, microphone inputs for recording and a record mute switch. Dolby B noise reduction only. Serviced and in great working order, please see condition notes below. No cables, accessories or printed materials included - unit only. Condition Notes:Serviced with new takeup/fast forward and rewind belts installed, original capstan flat belt reconditioned with R5 rubber conditioner as it was in very good condition, as well as the counter belt being reconditioned, in very good condition as well. Entire tape patch cleaned by hand, pinch roller reconditioned with R5 rubber conditioner compound. Fully tested and working for playback (over 7 hours playback performed with no issues), record tested with no issues. Cosmetically there are a few minor signs of handling/use - a few light scratces on the brushed aluminum front panel, ont the smoky cover plastic of the transport door. Some darkening of the plastic on the back casing from long term heat effects being in a stereo equimpent cabinet.
