Description: This slip was sold by Schranks, and date to the 1940's. The waist elastic has stretched. The waist and hips are almost the same size - the waist is 38" and the hips are 42". It is beautifully made from cotton - it has gored styling, and a ruffled hem. It is one of their "Shadowless" slips - meaning that when worn under a skirt, you wouldn't be able to see the shadow of legs through the skirt - a very important feature in the 1940's. I didn't wash it - it has yellowed just a bit, and has some slight soil from handling over the years. It has been folded away for a LOOOONNNNG time. It is part of my personal collection that I need to sell. I never wore it, but I never wore or used most of the things I collected. SO, now I am mid 70's, and its time to let these things go. It is a really pretty slip!
