Description: This is a vintage Riester/Holco Otoscope and Opthalmoscope set in original case with original paperwork. Made in Germany. Appears to be in full working order. See photos for contents. The handle, bulb currently installed in otoscope, and otoscope attachments (specula) have been tested, as has the opthalmoscope (light/dials/etc.). All are in working order. Photos also show the various light options on the opthalmoscope (see how light appears on the front of the paperwork). The three extra bulbs included in the case have not been tested. Judging by how the components fit in case, it appears that all original contents are present, but that is not certain. There is one empty bulb slot, presumably for the bulb now in the instrument. Please note, this is likely at least 45 years old and the case shows signs of wear, including that the tray holding the instruments is no longer glued to the bottom of the case (as shown in photos). There is also some corrosion at the top inside the battery compartment, which is also shown in the photos. No batteries are included, but the batteries did make the light turn on when installed for testing. (Takes Size D batteries.) Components and case together weigh ~1 lb 9 oz. This has been used. It has been lightly cleaned. Buyer may wish to undertake more thorough cleaning. But this is intended as a collectible, not for medical use. Please contact seller with any questions.
