Description: Size 9 feet long on the pile area not including the kilim ends and fringes, 5 feet 11 inches wide. Medium high height thick wool pile on a cotton foundation. Good physical condition, original height pile over the whole rug with no areas of wear. Edges and ends are all good and secure. Estate origin, not washed or dusted. There are some spots that appear in places on the ivory field (shown in photos 15-19, 2 closeups and 3 overviews of the complete ivory field), otherwise clean and no odors and these spots appear to be older after a prior cleaning. Reasonable to use as is or will benefit from a wash and spots can be professionally removed. Classic unidirectional Persienne hunting design, nice tomato red main borders, Farsi signature cartouche on one end. Same design and similar look as the Karastan Hunting Rug, this authentic hand knotted great value. There is a remnant of an old tag and this appears to be authentic Persienne by weave and construction. The photos were taken outside in end of the day light with some sun dappling through the trees.
