Little to no visual wear, such as scratches, to the naked eye. Tiny chip, on rim - Couldn’t see it until I really examined it under direct light, with a magnifying glass. Before purchasing I did the “blind crystal test,” and didn’t feel anything. (Close your eyes and move hands all over crystal piece to see if you feel a nick or cut yourself. - it’s the best way to quickly assess damage with crystal.) Elegant, heavy, vintage crystal glassware is increasingly rare and harder to come by in flea markets and antique stores. I consider this a lucky find at a consignment store just outside of Atlanta. HAND DRYING/POLISHINGUse two Microfiber polishing/ drying cloths. Firstly, hold the glass with one drying cloth under the bowl of the glass and with the second drying cloth in the other hand carefully polish the bowl inside and out. Then, hold the glass by the base and carefully polish the base. NEVER hold both the base and the bowl at the same time, as any twisting or pressure can cause the stem to snap. DO NOT hold the glass by its stem or by its base, as the stem could snap due to mishandling and can break at its narrowest point. ..................
