Description: This type of fan is normally used for Sado tea ceremony or for other formal occasions. It is made of washi paper finished in metalic gold and silver foil and the struts are glossy, black lacquered bamboo. It is nicely made and is probably unused but the edges of the silver side have some discoloration from age. It comes in its original box. It measures a about 11½” or 30cm across when open and is about 7" or 18cm long.
