Description: This heavy 5 pound planter was probably made in the 1960s or 1970s. The body, base and lions heads are magnetic (like tin) but the paw feet are not (likely brass). This is missing the original metal liner and the rings in the lion's mouth. Features a Lyre which was a stringed instrument used in several ancient cultures surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. The base is a faux marble, all hand painted. These were used as a center piece on a large table, for plants on a side table and even as a wine cooler. There are not many available in the states. It measures overall approximately 11" tall x 9" wide and 13" long. The opening where the plants would go measure approximately 8" tall x 6.5" wide x 11.25" long. This will likely go UPS or Fed Ex and I will refund any shipping overcharge to the nearest dollar.
