Description: Vintage Henning Norway Hand Carved Painted Wood Figurines Set of 2 - Man & Woman or Mom & Dad This listing is for a pair of vintage Henning Engelsen hand carved, hand painted wooden figurines. Colorful and cute, this set features the jovial faces of a standing man and seated woman who appear to have stepped straight out of Norwegian folklore. The man is marked on the bottom of one foot with Henning Carved by Hand in Norway. The other foot had something marked on it too, but it has been worn or sanded away and can't be read clearly. The woman is marked on the bottom with Carved by Hand in Norway and includes the hand written words Mom & Dad in black ink or marker. The wood around the words appears smoother and lighter in color. The figurines are in close to very good pre-owned vintage condition. There are no cracks or repairs. There are signs of wear from age, use and storage, which includes but is not limited to some scuff marks. Due to the nature features of wood, and the handcrafting process involved in creating these items, there may be a few naturally occurring unique imperfections such as variation in the shape, coloring and design.
