Vtg Crosman Model 116 .22 cal Bulk-Fill CO2 Pistol in Good Overall Condition

Description: VERY NICE CROSMAN 116 CO2 PELLET PISTOL .22 CAL IN GOOD OPERATING CONDITION – in good cosmetic and perfect operating condition and was completely professionally cleaned, lubed, and resealed by an airgunsmith in 2019. Includes a reprint of the owner’s manual & exploded parts diagram – these are also available on the Crosman website. The models .177 115 and .22 116 especially in this condition) is becoming a rarer find these days and the 115 is much less common than the .22 116 model. At that time .22 caliber was the more preferred caliber over .177. The 115/116 were the last of the Crosman bulk-fill gas pistols and there were no CO2 cartridges until later when the Crosman 150 & 157 were introduced. The cosmetics on the one is at least 75-80% and I am the second owner. The Crosman 115/116 was made from 1951-1954 and is the “improvement” of the earlier Crosman 111/112 which both had a 2-inch longer brass barrels; therefore the 115/116 are somewhat less barrel heavy. It is a .22 caliber, CO2, single-shot model that is very powerful in the 400+ fps range with 14gr pellets. With lighter .22 pellets like 11.9gr RWS Hobbies this pistol can shoot upwards of 475+ fps! Additionally, the 115/116 has a power adjuster knob below the cocking knob. This Crosman has molded plastic tenite grips and a black finish which I believe to be original along with what are likely the original grips. This pistol is easy enough to repair when necessary (and reseal parts are available!), and functions great when taken care of properly. To keep the seals clean and functional, this one SHOULD be stored with gas in it and CO2 can be left in it indefinitely. This can be bulk filled by several methods and can also be filled with CO2 cartridge adapters that utilizes a 12gm CO2 cartridge to fill the pistol (or at least mostly fill it) with CO2. I have seen people use barrel mount to use scopes and red dots though it was not designed for such. I have not attempted either of these and I would say this pistol has been relatively lightly used considering the overall cosmetic condition as the finish looks original. This model has an adjustable rear sight and is very accurate for closer range shooting. If you are interested in barrel mounts for the 111, 112, 115, and 116, you can use Crosman 459MT 2-pc intermounts for about $14 or the Crosman B272 4-pc intermounts (about $16) both of which fits on the 3/8-inch barrel. You can expect around 30-35 good shots per fill (less capacity than the longer 111/112) depending on the temperature, but up to 45 shots with the power knob turned all the way out. Of course, as with all CO2 airguns, fps will be temperature dependent and warmer is better! I am selling because I have too many other airguns and don’t use this one enough. Always use 2-3 drops of Pellgun Oil (or ATF will work) onto fill port to keep the seals fresh as the oil disperses through the CO2 gun - you CANNOT over-oil a CO2 gun!
