Description: Amazingly detailed Byers' Choice Ltd The Carolers, Vintage Lady Lavender Seller made in 2002 in Chalfont, Pa. The piece is completely hand crafted with artist designed and hand sewn clothing and painted clay face. She stands 13 1/2" tall, 5" wide and is 3" from front to back. The figure is mounted on a round wood base painted green. It is signed by Joyce Byers on the base behind the skirt. The original foil label is on the bottom with the company name & location, the date and series name. The lady is dressed in Victorian style clothing; a blue and white flowered chintz skirt with a ruched blue flower bustle, a blue felt vest, long sleeved white blouse and a pink & white checked neckerchief. She wear a straw hat over her long blonde hair. The hat is adorned with a pink chiffon ruffle and white satin ribbons. In one hand she holds a bunch of lavender. A rectangular wicker basket is filled with more lavender and hangs across her shoulder on a suede strap. The flowers are real and dried. The bottom of the base has some minor paint wear. Otherwise the figure is in excellent undamaged condition.
