Description: Vintage 80s Ben-Amun Red-Black-Silver Drop/Dangle Clip-on Earrings Issac Manevitz Iconic Ben-Amun never disappoints- the backs of these are as cool as the fronts! Mom never wore these, but loved the color. Looks to me like oxidized pewter with faux carnelian/jasper cabochons (resin? glass?), black glass beads, a butterfly and flowers. Ben Amun is signed on the back of each earring, and on each flower bead. Cabochon is approx 1" diam; earrings about 2.5" long. Very good condition. FYI… prolific artist, and Egyptian by birth, Isaac Manevitz founded the luxury jewelry company Ben-Amun in the 1970s. The name of the company comes from the name of his eldest son Ben and the last four letters of the name of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. His wife Regina Manevitz has co-owned Ben-Amun for 40 years and serves as the designer’s muse. All Ben-Amun products are handcrafted in a factory located in New York’s iconic Manhattan area, and his jewelry is simply wearable art.
