VTG ANCHOR HOCKING FIRE KING PEACH LUSTRE 'THREE BANDS' LOT 1 CUP, 4 SAUCERS USA

Description: Condition ~ Very good; an occasional speck of gloss missing or flecked off, a thin scratch here & there, but still in very nice condition with no cracks, stains, repairs, possibly unused. One Saucer has a chip on the underside measuring 1.6 cm x 1.2 cm and is unseen from the top. This is a 5 Piece Lot of ‘Peach Lustre’ which includes 1 cup and 4 saucers. Peach Lustre was made by Anchor Hocking Fire Kind beginning in the 1950’s. Much of this pattern is in fair to poor condition as the lustre has a tendency to wear off due to improper storage and use of the dishwasher. These are hand wash only to keep that lovely gloss intact.The pattern features an embossed band on the lustre. History has it that there is no record of this pattern in any of Anchor Hocking’s catalogues or ads, and that there were so many of these produced that they began to give them away as premiums. The Cup is 3 & 7/8” in diameter, stands 2 & 3/8” in height, measures 4 & 5/8” end to end, is 2 & 3/16” in depth, and holds 8 oz.The Saucer is 5 & 13/16” in diameter and stands 3/4” in height.Please enlarge and examine all photos as they compete the description.
